iPhone Ultra was born from a simple frustration: why is the best-selling phone in the world still so closed? Inspired by the Apple Watch Ultra, this concept rethinks the iPhone not as a finished product but as a platform, where every surface of the chassis becomes an interface.

[ The concept ]

On the back, the ModBay, a new zone machined into the aluminium, replaces the static camera plate. Through pogo pins, magnets and a mechanical twist-lock, it hosts interchangeable modules: a Pro triple lens, a single lens for everyday, an anamorphic optic for film, and more. The phone automatically recognises the mounted module and adapts its configuration.

At the bottom of the chassis, three metal contacts inspired by the iPad Smart Connector attach accessories with no cable at all: NVMe SSD, slim external battery, gaming grip, external flash for pro shooting, and more. Set it down, it's connected.

All carried by a Tandem OLED 240 Hz panel, exactly where Apple has always deliberately held back, a 35-hour battery life, and an A19 Ultra chip bridging two dies for performance without compromise.

iPhone Ultra is not an iteration. It's a proposition: what if Apple stopped selling a phone every year, and started selling a system built to last?
